Beer is the most widely consumed alcoholic beverage in the world with huge quantities consumed during major holidays and other festive occasions. Nokia on the other hand is a beleaguered mobile phone manufacturer which has only just begun to get back on its feet after a disastrous few years. Yet the peaks and troughs of beer consumption have a great deal to tell us about Nokia’s supply chain problems. Why they might have happened and why they, thankfully, may well be over.
